Maintenance

Your building maintenance obligations

MedicX Manage is dedicated to helping you maintain your new building as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Your lease will set out the obligations of each party to the lease. However, in the majority of our leases MedicX Group are responsible for the exterior of the property whilst the interior is the tenant’s responsibility. The responsibility of each party can be found under the Building Maintenance Checklist within your area of My MedicX.

We recommend that maintenance contracts are set up with the original installing contractors for the first year of occupation. This is to cover the defect liability period and ensures that any warranties/guarantees will remain valid. After the building has been ‘signed off’ you are at liberty to set up your own maintenance contracts.

Maintenance requirements and schedules are set out in the Operation and Maintenance Manuals and further information about maintaining your building can be found under My MedicX and the tenant’s guide to maintaining your building.

Contractors

A list of nationwide approved maintenance contractors and service providers can be found within My MedicX. An ‘approved contractor’ is one which has gone through an extensive Health & Safety vetting process to ensure that they have the appropriate working practices, insurances and procedures in place. The details of these contractors are provided for your help and information purposes only.

Please note that MedicX Group does not endorse or guarantee any of the services provided and will not accept any liability for any losses suffered by you as a result of you using any of these service providers listed on the approved contractor database. MedicX Group does not receive any commission as a result of listing them on the database.

Should you have a contractor or service provider you would like to be included on the database please contact us and we can arrange for them to be Health & Safety approved.
